Found good description at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/000730.htm
Intro info -Transient ischemic A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is when blood flow to a part of the brain stops for a brief period of time. A person will have stroke-like symptoms for up to 24 hours, but in most cases for 1 - 2 hours. A TIA is felt to be a warning sign that a true stroke may happen in the future if something is not done to prevent it. Last edited by Nconroe; 11-05-2013 at 12:18 PM. |

Crazy stuff, especially since he appeared to be in pretty damn good shape.
NFL coaches work ridiculous hours, they're well paid for that time, but still. I'm sure this season has eaten Kubiak up. Word is, he will be out at least this week vs. AZ, and Phillips will be at the helm with Dennison calling the plays. Hope they get in a better groove than Sunday, as they were obviously, and totally understandly, not ready to take over. You can't play on stuff like Sunday happening, but this gives them a week. Should be interesting. Hope Kubiak fully recovers, and is not the 1 out of 3 that end up with a full blown stroke.

Eh, they'll put him on some meds and he'll have to make more frequent trips to the cardiologist but he'll be fine.... You guys in your 20's, 30's and 40's - this is what happens when you get older....
ESPN just reported Kubiak's clearance to return to coaching is still unknown... |
