Justice is basically a baseball guy and obviously loves the game while he's definitely less interested in other sports. But I wouldn't call him worthless, certainly not compared to the other "writers" on the Chronicle.
I think a lot of people dislike him because he's a N.Texas/Cowboys guy (this Texas version of the Hatfields & McCoys doesn't seem to ever end either ?), but he has atleast one redeeming feature if you don't like his columns/blog.
He has compiled some tremedous contacts over the years who guest on his 1560 time. Rich Gosselin (the master mock Draft guy) for example
or one day he had PTIs Wilbon on who was really interesting & entertaining.
And give Richie a break here, he's just trying to be provokative in his stories to retain some readership as I'd imagine the Chron (and his job there) are in a tenuous situation as most print-media is in this challenging economic environment.
