On a side note, I went back and watched most of the Green Bay game again on DVR. One thing I was particulary pleased with was to see all the deep balls thrown. I'm talking 25-30+ yards in the air. I didn't count 'em, but it was a bunch - moreso than any game lately that I can recall. I've always liked the idea of going deep at least a couple of times a game just to "show" the defense that you'll do it and open up the underneath game....

There are some critics of Schaub that say he has weak arm strength. It may not be the strongest, but it's not bad. The early TD pass thrown to Walter traveled 51 yards in the air by my calculations (DVR is great for this kind of stuff). I'm talking the yard line from whence the ball left Matt's hand to the yard line where Walter caught it. The incomplete pass to AJ later in the game was also another 51-yarder. Don't know if Schaub was totally airing it out on these two but, IMO, it shows decent arm strength.... (OTOH, the deep ball Rodgers threw to Driver that was caught at the 5 yard line was thrown 63 yards in the air )
I think Schaub has adequate arm strength. It's not great, but it's not a detriment to his ability to be a good QB in the NFL. The pass to Walter is probably a bad example becuase it was under thrown. There's also a big difference between being able to throw a ball 50+ yards and being able to throw it that far with something on it as opposed to hanging it up in the air.

Good to see Schaub and Slaton getting some recognition though.
