Butler is still on the roster. With Winston entrenched at RT and Brown showing that he should be able to play well at LT Butler is looking at backup duty behind Salaam. He can play swing like Salaam and as long as he feels comfortable sitting on our roster like that I expect he sticks and takes over Salaams duties after retirement this year or next.

TJ is getting 2.2M next year, which is not bad at all. Plus the fact he is better than any of the other DT's and really should be rotating with Amobi rather than playing NT I dont see him going anywhere.

Faggins-- It depends on resigning DRob and how the team feels about Molden and Bennet next year after camp. DRob, Reeves, Bennet, and Molden are almost locks, and the 5th CB spot will need to contribute on ST. Faggins has played ok ball for us and steped in when needed. He has starting exp and good/bad stretches. At this point he would be more vertern depth than threatening the rotation.

Rosenfels-- I would still take him over a few of the other starting QB's out there. I doubt he gets a starting job anywhere else next year though so there is no reason to get rid of a guy you know can win games and knows your system very well unless you are grooming Schuabs replacement.

Green has taken his last snap IMO. Too much money, too many injuries, not enough production.

Taylor-- I dunno, I didnt see anything about his release but he isnt listed on IR either. Kubes likes him alot and I think if they bring him into camp healthy he has a good shot at competing with Moats, his shot at being #1 apart from an injury is pretty much over at this point.

CC Brown-- If Wilson is on the roster next year you can pretty much bet that there is no room for CC to beat Demps or Barber. Harrison is a different story though.

Greenwood-- He is slated to make 6.2M next year. I dont know how much the team would eat in 2009 for cutting him, but his replacement is on the field and playing now. It may be better to keep him as depth the last year of his contract that eating the monies and still signing depth that probably is not as good.

Weaver-- This man frustrates me to no end. When he shows up he shows up and when he doestn blah! And to date I have seen him show up 3-4 times? He is signed through 2010 and for big money. How much is the scheme and how much is the player? Unless they make another splash in FA or draft a DE high he will most likely play out his contract.

Bruenor-- He is the 3rd TE, which I dont understand why we carry 3 because the third is rarely active and not a postion which would command as much need for depth as some others. With Daniels and Dreesen playing as well as they do I have no issue with leting Bruenor ride the pine and provide verteran leadership and depth if really needed.
