I was on the way back from Oklahoma, and haven't had a chance to watch the DVR yet. I did see the highlight of that pick, and I think they actually brought a blitz on that play. That would be the difference from all the other times we've dropped lineman into coverage this year. There was never a blitz in our zone blitz.

You can get away with it if you keep mixing things up....come from different angles. drop different guys into different places. If it was just a case of them sending another d lineman into coverage with a three man rush...then Smith just got lucky and that will probably validate that coverage in his mind and we will be stuck seeing it again...until he gets fired.
