We suck, it pisses me off, but it is still the NFL, and I am still glad to have it back so I can: have something to read about while I am supposed to be working, bitch about, throw things in disgust, and most importantly drink beer early on Sunday morning with my comrades that I just don't have the time to hang out with anymore.....etc.

As demented as it sounds, I like it when they tease me, going into the season thinking "this could be the year." Then of course the bottom falls out, and the process starts over again in April. Sooner or later, we have got to be respectable week in and week out......................Right?
That is a great..Great post. In some respects we are spoiled. Try getting tickets to the Jets, Giants or Patriots growing up, then try driving to the games for a few hours freezing your arse off.. We are spoiled. I am spoiled.
It takes me 30 minutes from driveway to parking space. I love the sound and smell of meat burning over hot charcoal, the taste of icy cold beers that have been in a perfect ice bath, throwing my arm out tossing the pigskin, delusions of a game ending TD for the home team. I love waking down the concourse and seeing the grass. Pregame intoductions when hope springs eternal. Darn it, I love it.

You are correct, I feel like the geek who thinks he is going to score with the hot babe, only to go home alone. This team breaks my heart, makes me miserable, but I love them for some unknown reason. After the last game of the season, I anxiously anticipate free agency and then the draft, read about how good everything looks in OTA's and watch training camp practices, envisioning the young warriors and brilliant coaches that will lead us to glorious victories on a Sunday afternoons.

Thanks, I think I now need professional help. I think I am going to drink all Thanksgiving weekend in anticipation for our first Monday night game, that might be our only one in awhile.

My name is Mike... I have a problem, I love the Houston Texans.....
