This won't ever really come out but credit Mrs. McNair (Bob's widow) with playing a part in getting Ryans back. She has always loved him like a son and has kept in touch with him since he left Houston. The feeling is very mutual between them.
Greg Grissom also did work behind the scenes to make it happen.
