Default Official Texans vs. Eagles Game Thread, 11/3/2022

The undefeated 7-0 Philadelphia Eagles come to town to take on the 1-5-1 Texans on Thursday Night Football - the Texans only prime time game all year. The Eagles are coming off a 35-13 home win over the Steelers, the Texans are coming off a 17-10 home loss to the Titans.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has been very good this year - 142/212, 67% completion, 1799 yards, 257 yds/game, 10 TDs, 2 INTs, 105.1 rating. RB Miles Sanders (563 yards) and Hurts himself (303 yards) make up most of the rushing attack. The Eagles leading receivers are WR AJ Brown (659, 16.9 avg), TE Dallas Goedert (421 yards, 13.2 avg.) and WR DeVonta Smith (420 yards, 11.1 avg.). The Eagle defense is rated 2nd in the league vs. the pass (4.8 yds/att) and 29th vs. the run (5.2 ypc).

Normally, it's common for a team (Texans) that was so dominated by another team (Titans) to come right back the next week and be more focused. With the Texans, I'm not sure that will happen. Perhaps Dameon Pierce could have a good game as the Eagles don't seem to play the run all that well. Davis Mills will have to perform better than he did against the Titans if they have any hope of getting the passing game going. On paper, this has Eagles blowout written all over it. Surprise me, Texans.
