The day after the NE game all 6 NFL teams with openings were still waiting to see if BOB would walk from Houston. He could have been employed 10 minutes after he quit here. I suspect he walked in that same day with that leverage and told McNair, "Brock goes or I go."

I also wouldn't be totally shocked if JJ privately said something about his willingness to come back from back injury being tied to the team not wasting a year of his remaining career on Brock Osweiller. You can't have QB play that bad and defense that good, without fractures in the locker room.
