The three guys that you mention have hidden upside, or at least they're the three guys we haven't seen enough of to know that they're basically playing at their ceiling. Even if the Texans had Tom Brady playing for them next year I don't see how any of the tight ends is ever going to amount to anything. (Although Brady does make Keyshawn Martin almost look like an NFL player so who knows.) The talent level of the other three running backs is modest at best. Although Blue seems to be using his strength more and better than he was earlier in the year. He may yet have a role on a good team as a punishing back, which I consider extremely important to have and to use.
Since JJ's not playing tight end one handed I guess the only other guy with hidden offensive upside would have to be Charles James. And apparently his upside will remain hidden.
I do hope Strong doesn't turn out to be another Devier Posey, a guy who looks for all the world like a wide receiver but for whatever reason just can't get on the field. Strong is an exciting prospect because he gets separation and seems to have good instincts with the ball. Size, speed. I suppose he just needs to learn the playbook.
