The Texans made four roster moves on Tuesday.
They placed rookie outside linebacker Jason Ankrah and rookie receiver Travis Labhart on waivers.
They replaced Anrkah with veteran outside linebacker Ricky Sapp, who was with the Texans in training camp.
They replaced Labhart on the practice squad with safety Josh Aubrey.
