To elaborate, I belong to a website where you get "points" for clicking on the betting forums daily. 6 pts/day. You can then take the points and bet them in the website's "casino".
I just had a parlay on MLB - Oakland and LA Angels. Bet 5 pts to win 26 pts. The Angels came through and won their game 2-0. Oakland was ahead 6-3 going into the bottom of the ninth. I'm starting to count my windfall. Tori "effing" Hunter comes up and smacks a 3 run walk-off home run. Poof! I lose 5 pts instead of winning 26.
Bad beats are so common in gambling.... A lot more common than the reverse (seems like)....
I've got the Texan -2.5 for 8 pts (to win 7.27 pts) tonight. As Keith mentioned, I'm betting on Yates and Keenum to march the ball down the field like they've done so far...
