Ok, PK summed up most of my thoughts, but I'd say Seth Payne deserves at least a mention in this thread. Take out Pitts and Winston and add Glenn and Payne.
Domanick Davis and Jamie Sharper were good pros, but not good enough for this list. Pitts, Winston... might as well toss in Steve McKinney as guys who were just likeable fan faves. Zach Wiegert was arguably as effective (or moreso) than these guys, but nobody's gonna put Wiegert on a list like this.
What about the 10 Most Infamous Texans so far? Much more interesting.
List is comprised of those Texans whose on-field accomplishments are weighed against their off-field scrutiny and abuse by fans and media.
NFL Network style, which means I am going from the bottom up, with some incredulous rankings, total headshakers, and missed picks snuck in as honorable mentions...
10. Tony Hollings... 2nd round supplemental RB selection, better known as Yet Another Time Casserly Thought He Was Smarter Than You.
9. James Allen... RB better known as Mersilus... in his dreams. (ok, #9 is too high for this, but whatever, just enjoy the rest of the list.)
8. David Carr... 1st overall pick, better known for being sacked and all-too-infrequent haircuts.
7. Bennie Joppru... 2nd round TE, better known as The Gimp.
6. Philip Buchanon... CB acquired by expensive trade, better known as toast.
5. Matt Stephens... Free safety, better known as a Free Pass safety (and a later motorcycle injury).
4. Jason Babin... Target of a trade up, better known by HPFBob as the Painted Lady.
3. Tony Boselli... 1st expansion pick, known for being pudgy and collecting paychecks.
2. Jacoby Jones... WR/Returner abused by fans for a muffed playoff punt.
...and before we go to #1, here's who almost made the cut as Honorable mentions... Dunta "Pay Me, Rick" Robinson, Seth "I'm no magic" Wand, Amobi "Eternal Rookie" Okoye, and Demarcus "Petey" Faggins.
1. The Rosencopter... The play itself has taken on a life of its own.
