You've gotta a new blog and you want to get the message out and that is fine. But, I think at some point you've got to back off a little. I hit a lot of Texans message boards/blogs and you are everywhere.
If your blog is good and has interesting content, then there won't be any need for promotion. Readers will do all the linking, promoting and creating discussion for you....
