Some General Pre-Draft News
* Ginn goes to 49ers
Ted Ginn Jr. was traded to the 49ers for a fifth-round pick. The acquisition of Brandon Marshall made the controversial Ginn expendable.
* Eagles want to trade up
Reports from Philly are that the Eagles want to trade up from #24 into the upper half of the first round. They have extra picks in the second round to use as bait. Supposedly, they are targeting Eric Berry or Earl Thomas.
* Jags want to trade down
Jacksonville wants to move down so maybe they are a match for the Eagles. The front office denies Tim Tebow is the guy they covet but it makes sense from a marketing standpoint (albeit less so from a football standpoint) and owner Wayne Weaver is supposedly involved in their draft day decisions so you can bet he'd like the gate attraction Tebow would bring. Owning a low first is probably a safe place to draft Tebow without paying him top dollar.
Remember, more than half the talk coming out of NFL teams right now is just smoke.
