I know, I don't want to be Mr. Trade-prognosticator-guy, but I was watching NFL Network last night and they said he might be available for trade. Now I do not know all of the cap implications etc. (he would still have at least 3 years left on his current deal I think), but from a talent standpoint he could help to fill that DT slot next to Amobi. He is miscast in KC now that they have switched to a 3-4 defense, though oddly enough they talked about him going to San Diego to play nose tackle (no trade would happen with a division rival I assume). I guess the first question is could such a trade even be feasible from a salary cap standpoint? Secondly, would you, assuming the cap numbers can be worked out, trade a pick or two for this guy and if so what would it take to get him?
Roy, our resident personnel guy, what was your take on him coming out of college?
Yes, we should be more concerned about fixing the running game on offense but this could be an opportunity to address another need. Anytime a team gets a chance to upgrade their defensive front 7 I think they should do it.
