What would you expect Barber to do in that situation, pick up the lineman, toss him out of the way and make the tackle?
What I would expect him to do, is notice that this guy is coming down field full speed and make the correct decision to at least try to slow him down by getting in his way or trying to force him outta bounds. At least buy the rest of the team some time to catch up.
Maybe there was nothing he could do or maybe there was. But what I do know is that taking out the blocker served no purpose what so ever, in that situation. If he has help then you take out the blocker to free up the tackle for your support.
