AJ named first-team All-Pro; Cushing makes second team

Johnson, who led the league with 1,569 receiving yards, was named first-team All-Pro for the second consecutive season. Cushing, the AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, earned second-team honors. He was the only rookie named either first- or second-team All-Pro.

Somehow I picture Rick Smith doing one final happy dance...

This is what gets me: "Johnson received 44 of a possible 50 votes from the AP panel, far more than the next-closest receivers."

Who in their right mind would NOT vote for Andre Johnson? What sort of idiot could have even a casual relationship with the NFL and not consider Andre one of the two best receivers in the league? What, are you going to vote for Wes Welker and Reggie Wayne? Come on.

And Cushing, wow, what a monster. Like Keith said elsewhere let's all hope he stays healthy. If he does we should have the privilege of watching a truly great player take the field sixteen times a year. Who knows, one of these days maybe there will be more than sixteen.

They really should have 2 different categories for 4-3 OLBs & 3-4 OLBs in these awards/all-star teams or whatever one wants to call them because they are fundamentally 2 different, seperate postions - kinda like comparing apples and oranges.
