The upcoming Colts game (vers 2.0)
 

The big, bad Colts are coming to town this Sunday and the Texans (and their fans) have little time to remain frustrated and disappointed over Monday's loss to the Titans.

The Texans really need this one now if they want to keep their math in the mix. They are closing in fast on having to win out....

The Peyton Manning led Colts are undefeated at 10-0. Not much to say about that...

Colts favored by 3 to 3.5

A good chunk of America will be watching...

MUST win.

Can we please not let this game go down to the final seconds?

Either lose convincingly, or win convincingly.

I'm predicting it's a long, sad plane ride back to Indy Sunday night for Peyton & Co.

I'm looking forward to a good game, do expect us to win, but I've said that before and been wrong. In theory if we win the turn over battle, hold Colts to 20 or less points, don't commit dumb penalties, get correct referee calls, don't drop balls we ought to catch, do well on special teams and make field goals, we ought to win.

LOL....is that all? :)

ok, no one else gets injured, Peyton throws three interceptions while we have him backed up to his endzone , OL opens huge running lanes and Slayton runs for 140 yards, Casey catches 10 passes for 120 yards, Dunta gets an interception and run back for TD due to pressure on him by our DL, Mario gets three sacks, Colts get penalized for roughing Schaub even though they didn't touch him four times giving us first downs, Peyton gets confused and calls timeout due to crowd noise, Colts miss an extra point, and Colts through protest flag and lose final timeout, and with four minutes to go, Texans are up 35-10, and run out the clock, the coaches, and fans are smiling and happy again. Ah, all the other teams ahead of us in playoff race lose. I am sure I missed something in this dream game.

I had a bad feeling about the Titans game and we ended up losing.... But not this time. I have a great feeling about an upset against the Colts. I listen to alot of sports podcasts at work and everyone is writing us off already.... We'll give them something to talk about when we stun the undefeated Colts.

That's what I'm saying, with the assumption that the Texans produce another strong effort. One may argue about their game-plans and certainly the penalities have been frustrating and harmful but the effort has been there. If the coach gets any credit for having his team up for the games, Kubiak gets an atta-boy in that department.
Indy has had so many close games, so many last minute or last second wins. Give them credit, but they've also had some luck. But Indy is due, just so we don't have to nail down a win or OT with a Chris Brown kick ?

I am starting to come out of the coma after a sleep deprived and angry ride home from Reliant Monday night.

One thing I must say about Kubes tenure here, is that his team seems to bounce back well. I would not be shocked to see this team be ready and go toe to toe with the Colts. Would I be shocked if they won, hell no. Am I expecting them to win, hell no. I think this will be a typical Texans game this year, could go either way in the 4th quarter. This club seems to be full of surprises. At some point this year, we are going to make the plays to win one of these close games. The Colts have been winning, but they have not been blowing teams away. Manning is not going to scramble for first downs all night, but is 1000% better passer than VY.

My prediction...By Saturday AM, I will be amped up and ready to get it going Sunday morning. On my way to Reliant, I will be brimming with optimism and enthusiasm. I'll be in my seat for player introductions.

Please do not take this as a rant, but I think we will lose. We may actually lose by more than one TD.

In order to beat Peyton, you have to have someone to play chess with Peyton. We have no one on our sideline or in the game to contend with his continuous adjustments. I am a huge Cushing fan, but he was ohky doked by DClark all game long. If they give up the over and under on Reggie Wayne to help on Dallas, I think Reggie will eat us up.

It takes three things to beat the Colts:

1. Toughness on defense (we only have 1 1/2: Cushing and Pollard)
2. A coach on the sidelines and on the field (we have neither)
3. An offense that can consistently put up points (not yards). (We are inconsistent here).

So far we have half of one of these. Maybe somewhere in between today and Sunday we will have to gain some of the rest.

We're afraid to throw it deep and we can't run the ball. Manning is gonna have a huge day while Mario has the best seat in the house.

Colts are gonna embarrass us...sorry.

I picked the Texans to beat the Colts last time. So, I'm picking the Colts to win this week. That's a guaranteed victory :D

Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney, who usually finds a way to overcome injuries, won't be playing on Sunday against the Texans.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Freeney stayed home in Indianapolis, due to an abdominal injury that had rendered him questionable.

The 10-0 Colts face the 5-5 Texans at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

Six other Colts are listed as questionable. It's not known at this point whether any of the other six stayed home. They are cornerback Kelvin Hayden (knee), linebacker Ramon Humber (calf), tackle Charlie Johnson (foot), tight end Gijon Robinson (concussion), and quarterback Jim Sorgi (right shoulder).

The Colts just plug in young players and still get the job done. I dont even know the names of their secondary guys and they still make plays.
