finally some football

Hall of fame game

Titans looked ok and the bills looked terrible. Vince Young looks like a shell of himself. He is in there with the second teamers and looks lost. His confidence is totally gone. I doubt he ever gets things right in Tennessee.

On his second throw VY threw an absolutely UGLY int... no receivers within 10 yards of the pass. He had a nice TD throw right before halftime, but he's looked pretty bad overall.

T.O. looked like a man on a mission during his only possession. Got two catches for 27 yards. He may yet have one more good year left in him.

Good to see live football again and nice to see the throwback unis.

Chris Mortensen's kid threw a pick that looked as bad as Young's. LinWhale White looks svelte. Not bad to spend a Sunday night scouting your division rival. "They are who we thought they were."

The Titanics first unit on both sides of the ball looked pretty solid. The new rookie running back looked real good. VY......... there probably will be some sort of delay on the HOF thing.

I think TO is the kind of guy who will be incredibly motivated by being cast off by Dallas and will work incredibly hard to keep himself relevant. I guess it's the good side of a giant ego.

I saw on the NFL online shop that you can personalize them. If we weren't in the middle of building a new house, I'd be gettin' a "Blanda - 16", a "Cannon - 20", or a "Hennigan - 87". Those would be SWEET!

read something this morning that the WR might have ran the wrong route....still an ugly pass though.

Well, if a quarterback launches a lob into the secondary without anyone close to sacking him, you have to believe that this was part of the play the QB thought they were running. That or the QB was David Carr and he believed .6 of a second is all the time he has to throw.

But either way, even though he thought the TE was going to keep going on the wheel route and the guy hesitated, it was the CB who peeled off of the WR and picked off the pass. Basically it was such and off target throw it got picked off by a different receiver's defender. I don't think Vince even saw the CB as part of the play. He thought he was throwing it out there for his TE to run under. Even with perfect communication the best he could have had was the TE playing DB and trying to break up the pass.

In all honesty, the pass was so far away from any receiver that one can only guess what the play was supposed to be. But Young appeared to throw after a quick drop, lofted the ball like a fade route and was not under duress at all so, unless the ball slipped out of his hand, he clearly expected somebody to be there to run under it and nobody was - except the deep safety.

Amazing how much run a possible third team QB gets.

Next year, he will be in the CFL for all to enjoy.

Most young people in Houston today would look at you with a question mark in their eyes if you wore a throwback jersey with any of those names on it.

I think most would recognize Blanda, some would remember Cannon, and few would have heard of Charlie.
