8/6 Camp Observations

For those of you who attended last night, and those who could not attend, I thought it would be good to add some of my observations and for anyone to add what they saw last night for all to share.

1) The WR's all looked very good. Nothing else needs to be said about AJ, but Andre Davis caught the ball well and Jacoby really had a nice night. Walter and Anderson were steady as usual.

2) Anthony Hill made a really nice catch over the middle in traffic, and another in the endzone. He is not OD, but if he can give some threat in the passing game in short yardage or goaline situations that should really help.

3) I'd be remiss not to mention Mario. He looked strong, fast and physical. Nothing needs to be said about him, but have to mention him.

4) Cushing is BIG and fast. He is going to be a nice dimension to the defense.

5) Schaub looked very comfortable/confident. This is a good sign.

6) The defense seemed to play fast and there were bodies heading to the ball. Yeah, it is only practice, but they seemed to be more active.

That is pretty similar to what I saw at practice I attended. Hard to not be optimistic after seeing all the guys out there making plays.

Thanks for the updates fellas. The only thing about the defense that worries me now is the secondary.

Clearly the front 7 is more talented and deeper than ever, but we still have questions about a solid edge-rushing playmaker to compliment Mario (depending on how Barwin develops) and finding a big run-stopper at DT (Okam could be the man, but that's still not settled).
But you're right about the secondary, which arguable has more uncertainty than at any time in the franchise history with the injuries to Reeves & Molden
and all the issues surrounding Robinson.
