Oiler/Titans QB Steve McNair Found Shot To Death

Just breaking but it is on ESPN and CBS Sportsline. There was also a woman shot dead in a downtown Nashville street. No further details as of yet.

Really shocked by this one. McNair was tough as nails and really exciting to watch. Such a tragic way for this great guy to go. RIP Steve. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Steve McNair didn't get good until Ahole moved the Oilers to Tennessee. So I am really neutral about this.

He supposedly died of a gunshot to the head. Did they find the gun? And if so could it have been suicide?

There are rumors that the dead woman did the shooting but no confirmation of this.

:(

Sad news. Tragic. He was a lot of fun to watch on the field.

The Tennessean confirms the dead woman was not McNair's wife. They're also reporting that McNair's Cadillac Escalade was stopped for DUI two day's earlier with a 20-year-old woman at the wheel. The Escalade was towed from in front of the condo this afternoon as part of the investigation.

IIRC, McNair himself was stopped for DUI a few years ago.

McNair had just opened his first restaurant "Gridiron-9" nearby and had talked recently of opening other ones.

I hope I'm misreading this comment.

It looks like you are saying that since he wasn't good for the Oilers you don't care about him dying.

It is sad news for a guy who seemed to be such a success , leader, and role model. I enjoyed watching him play. Condolences to his wife and kids.
