If the Texans ever add one of those Ring of Honor dealies, he should be first name up....

The team wasted the career of a truly great player. They'll do the same with JJ and with anyone else who is stupid enough to re-up with the Texans if they have other options with teams that are serious about winning.

The Texans organization is such a joke that it wouldn't surprise me at all if he were a HOF snub.

I think Johnson has an excellent chance of being the first Texan into the HOF and in large part because the team does not have anybody in the HOF.
I don't think there's many Texans haters, but maybe some Texan sympathizers who would welcome the opportunity to give the organization at least one seat at the HOF table. That whole process to elect HOF members is largely political anyway.
