And why didn't the Texans go after this guy this off season?

"Sun, Sep 7 The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner set a Falcons rushing record Week 1, rushing for 220 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries."

The 75 yards of rushing the Texans had was a joke.

Agreed, but lets wait til week 6 to determine if slaton was not the best choice.

And it might be our "run it until it cant be run anymore scheme" (even if we are losing 21-0). In other words it might just be our play calling.

But good acknowledgement.

Money? Doesn't fit the system? Questions about how good he is?

Whatever their reason, 200 yards against the Lions doesn't translate to 200 yards against the Steelers. It definitely would be nice to have a bruiser to compliment Slaton, but I imagine we'll see that happen before next season.

Running Back is not among our biggest problems with this team.

A better questrion is why didn't they draft him when they had the chance... Or Norwood... Or Jacobs... Or Choice... Or numerous other late rounders that have shown talent (Ward, Bradshaw, Grant...). Oh, that's right... We have the awful combination of our scouting dept not being able to identify RB talent and a HC/GM tandem that feels they can throw anyone back there. Yep, their system is THAT good!

I am not putting this on the RBs, from what I saw they got what they could. I blame the OL on this one.

or play calling, we can almost always guess play coming, likely opposing defense can too. not lots of rinkles, imagination being shown right now. maybe in a couple of games it will get better.

Ditto! I was amazed on several carries that Green and Slaton got positive yards.

.....Or Forte? He had 128 yds against Indy.

Gary Kubiak and Rick Smith you need to clean up your house, it is stinking!

I would also have to say we are having a hard time finding that DE. And maybe another CB?:(
