Will we see a decline in Brian Cushing's monster performances?

I certainly hope we don't start seeing a drop off in his production.

Brian has really been playing great this year, he is very active, in on many plays, helping lead the defense.

I'm sure he'll continue helping Texans win.

No problem. If the NFL was serious about PED problems they would test in the offseason. Guys don't get busted in-season. They use in the offseason and cycle it out after getting what they needed. Cushing (if he used) just cut it a little close and had the feintest remnant in his system early season.

This should not have any direct impact on him more than others.

Cushing is playing @ 'bout 15 lbs lighter this year than past seasons in the NFL (high 240s vs previously in low 260s). What's the explanation (if provided by Cushing or the team) for his new weight this season and what's the thinking about Cushings performance at the new weight ? And is it an advantage or disadvantage playing out of his new position as a 3-4 ILB ?

I don't have an explanation, but if I had to guess, he'd say the same, "I wanted to be quicker. I haven't lost any strength, blah blah blah" that they all say. As for advantage/disadvantage, I feel like calling Ray Lewis the prototype 3-4 inside 'backer is pretty safe, so it feels like dropping the weight would be a disadvantage. However, he's an absolute monster that drips his own blood in Darren McFadden's face, so I really can't say anything but, "Do your thing, Cush."
