The age of Rosencopter is upon us, at least for the next few weeks.
Noon kickoff today... in Week 2, before Ike, this was a late afternoon game. Ian Eagle and Solomon Wilcots with the call. Most of Texas will get this game, but it looks like those in DFW, Austin, and El Paso will need to go to Plan B. |

Ravens hit on a 43 yard bomb to a wide open Figurs.
Somebody missed an assignment... Ravens 7, Texans 0 Defense was looking not bad up till that point... |

Good lord. Texans decide to pass it at the 1 yard line on 1st down and ball gets tipped and intercepted.
Touchback. Ravens ball at the 20. |
Ravens have to punt. Texans will take over about their own 15 yard line.
The Ravens are doing something I wish the Texans would do - they're throwing the deep ball.... Great way to loosen up the secondary so the underneath stuff works.... Just once? |
Actually Ngata made a very smart and athletic move in dropping back moving over following Sage's eyes, tipping the ball up, and intercepting. Heads up play by Baltimore. Nothing else to say.
|
Have I said I hate our defensive scheming? Blown assignments, too far off the receiver, yada, yada, yada!
|
54 TD by Slaton called back on holding by OD...
---------- There it is! Deep ball to JJ. Ball at the Raven 6. |
I love that playcall.
|
Texans settle for the FG.
Ravens 7, Texans 3 |
Texans kickoff. Ravens takeover on their own 20.
About 6:48 left in the half. ------ Big sack by Bentley. Ravens eventually have to punt. Texans takeover about their own 3 yard line. About 4 mins left till halftime... |
If it helps our psyche any, Texans are 3-0 when they are not being carried in Austin. Today, it's Titans-Bears up here.
|
Oy, holding on Duane Brown as Sage is passing from the endzone results in a Safety.
Texans will have to kick away from their 20 yard line. Ravens 9, Texans 3 Ravens return the kick to their 29 yard line. |

Texans have to re-kick and the Ravens return it to their 42 yard line.
---------- Can we get someone on the tight end? |

Ravens make the 54 yd FG.
Ravens 12, Texans 3 Texans will get the ball with about a minute left... |
Texans get some yardage and kick the 48 yard FG as time runs out in the 1st half.

Ravens move the ball down the field. Nice interference by Greenwood puts the ball at the 1 yard line. McGahee runs it in. Ravens 19, Texans 6 |
Texans get the kickoff and move the ball pretty well until Sage throws the pick to Ray Lewis.
------------- Ball currently at the Texan 33 |
Texan D finally makes a stop. Ravens try the 50 yd. FG. No good.
Texans take over. |
And just like that. Rosenfels hits Walter for a 60 yd TD.
Ravens 19, Texans 13 |
Texans d-backs make the Ravens receivers look like superstars. They've been saving all their pass interence penalties for this game....
Ravens drive down the field and score thanks to many penalties along the way. Two-point conversion is good. Ravens 27, Texans 13 |
Both teams exchange possessions.
Ravens punt. JJ fair catches at about the 10 yard line. 90 yards to go with about 10 minutes left in the game. Score is still: Ravens 27, Texans 13 |
Bad break that we didn't face these guys in Week 2 like the schedule planned.
|
Dude....this team sucks.
|
Everyone who called for Rosenfels earlier in the season needs to smack themselves in the back of the head.
|
Ravens get the INT off Sage and then convert the TD on a pass to the tight end.
Ravens 34, Texans 13 ------------ Wow, Sage throws another INT... unbelievable..... |
McGahee runs it in for yet another score.
Ravens 41, Texans 13 |
Final Score:
Ravens 41, Texans 13 |
I can now say it. Kubiak and his team sucks! Humiliating loss at home to a ROOKIE QB!!!!!!!
|
Refer to my recently posted forum:
We officially suck!!! |
The second half was the worst display I've seen since their inception. I fear Kubiak has lost the locker room. It appears that he's a poor man's Norv Turner; good coordinator, bad head coach. Richard Smith is, apparently, utterly clueless. This team has too much talent to be this bad.
