After this game you might think Kubiak is gone, might want him gone, but McNair
has shown a very high level of tolerance for failure. I wouldn't assume anything yet.

We showed our inconsistency on offense when we came out from the half with a drive for nothing. There were only 3 Drives all game that were worth anything.

He's not going to do anything because he's a coward too, just like this team. They are scared to make the tough decisions.

Let me rephrase that, just like this coaching staff.

BTW, why to we have to blitz 8 just to get pressure on the QB. Then we barely get there. If this was Manning, this loss would've been much worse. Is it our execution of the blitz packages, the timing of the blitz, or simply the blitzes are elementary and easily picked up?

Well on a good note. Our Defense has allowed only 4 hundred yard rushers this year outta 12 games. Minus the first 3 week debacle, only 1. That is a plus. However, our effort, playcalling, and decision making at the end of games has been horrendous.

The sad thing is that this was another game we *could* have won had we not shot ourselves in the foot. The 17-point hole and the Schaub injury put them behind the 8-ball but the halfback shotput that was intercepted was the real back-breaker.

Also if Shaub's bone wasn't hanging out he should've been out there play. This is your season. You are not trying to keep him ready for the playoffs. However, you come back out not even favoring the shoulder. As a matter of fact, if one had missed the first qtr they wouldn't have even noticed he was injured.

I don't think you can put this on Schaub. He played well and hurt. He did miss a few throws, but the interception should have been caught by Anderson. This one is on Kubes.....Best thing is that he will agree with me!!

No, I am not blaming it on Shaub's play, but rather that injury moment that spotted the Jags 17. But as usual he did have quite a few inaccurate throws down the stretch.

In the words of the Joker...

Why so serious?!?

This team is so pathetic that the highlight of the season is during the off-season when we actually have hope...optimism. Then the season starts and our reality sets in.

Ownership is clearly our problem.

Well, I guess it is time to start talking about next season.

another recap of a losing effort.

Big Texas 12-06-2009 04:02 PM

It was time to start talking about next season, when we started off this game the same way we started all year.

As a matter of fact it was time, when we lost 3 close games in a row. Games we should've won.

Yeah, writes itself sometimes.

I also went back and re-uploaded with my original headline "Puff Puff Halfback Pass". When I wrote this in the daylight, I was a conscientious father of two who second guessed the reference. Tonight though I am an agitated nihilistic fan. So there.
