Poor Bob. His favorite team loses to his second most hated team and his second favorite team loses to his most hated team. And poor Babydoll, she's not getting any tips tonight.

Texans with 7 total 1st downs.

3 for 14 on 3rd down. 0 for 2 on 4th down.

24:46 ToP.....

189 total yards.

Hooo-wheeee, those are some ugly stats....

I guess he is not that young anymore...maybe I should have said the younger buck...LOL

But speaking of Savage, we need to find out about him soon...

Hey, maybe Brandon Weeden can turn it around like Blaine Blabbert did. Ugh....

This team is terrible and has 2 offensive players worth anything (Brown and Hopkins). That may be 2 more than the number of Texans coaches who had a clue tonight.

Don't let our wins over other bottom feeders, or the Colts incompetence fool you, we are bad.

Damn Barrett, you are starting to sound like the Chuckster who as usual is over here whining like a little bitch after the Texans get another butt-whipping. If it's such a miserable experience why do you guys bother with it, even spend your time in these parts ?
I'm already looking forward to next week vs Indy who were even more embarrassed by the Jags last night. Atleast we got whupped by the champs.
We'll see you and your buddy the Chuckster here next week. If it's that bad
for you, you guys should get a new team. Maybe the New England Patriots, I hear they are pretty good.

Are you saying I can only be a fan if I enjoy myself? Tell that to the entire city of Cleveland. Being tortured is an unfortunate side effect of fandom.

Our team is bad and I take no comfort in that. I wish they were good. Right now they are not, and the 6-7 record and bad division doesn't fool me into thinking they are good. I hope they are good soon.

Bad, good, eh, I think it's just semantics. The Texans showed in this Patriot game that they aren't ready for the big boys so yeah, they're probably not a top 10 team.... On the other hand, they looked pretty good against the Bengals, Jets and Saints so there's that .... The word "inconsistent", IMO might best describe the Texans of 2015 so far...

------------------------------------------------

Going back to semantics and words, all the time on message boards I see this sorta accepted misuse of the word "mediocre" for the word "average". One of the definitions of the word "mediocre" is: not satisfactory; poor; inferior. Yet, people use it all the time when they mean "average"...... Average is defined as: the arithmetic mean. In the football terms, average would be 8-8.

The Texans have gone 88-120 (.423 win percentage) in their first 13 years of existence so the word "mediocre" definitely applies here.....

For football, there should be some sort of adjective scale to follow - something like:

10-6 = above average, "B" grade
9-7 = slightly above average
8-8 = average, "C" grade
7-9 = slightly below average (starting to get into mediocre territory here)
6-10 = below average, "D" grade (you're in mediocre territory)

etc.

11 or more wins, the words could be very good, excellent, elite, etc.

5 or less wins , the words could be poor, bad, pathetic, etc....

BTW, the overall record of 88-120 for the Texans translated into one season is 6.77-9.23 or roughly 7-9. So, (theoretically) they've gone like 7-9 for 13 straight seasons....

I dunno, just rambling here.....
