And I don't bring up the passing yards to prove he had a good game. He didn't have a good game. But he is not even near the front of the line when I am assessing blame to our offense. He played under pressure all game and had no protection. Sacked repeatedly, 6 balls batted down, no WRs getting open downfield. No running game to help him out. No running plays called (or screens) to slow down the pass rush. And he still moved the ball all day by throwing to guys like Joel Dreesen.
As for the final drive, it is a miracle we get down there with a bad punt return, a facemask on our gimply RG who should not have been on the field, no pass protection, and a bad snap. We managed to convert two 20+ yard conversions just on that drive (1st and 25 and 3rd and 23). Not to mention he already threw what should have been the game tying TD to Vickers on the previous drive (the very fact that we are throwing to Vickers shows either a coaching/substitution screw up or a personell issue). OL, play-calling, Jacoby Jones, and bad special teams play screwed us in this game, and the AJless offense could not overcome that. |

I agree 100%...
BUT Shaub still had a chance to overcome all those negatives and win the game (which is what winners do)...LOL |

I'm still trying to understand why that call was to Vickers rather than Casey. Casey might have been hurt.
I don't know why Kubiak wasted a valuable timeout challenging a call that he clearly had no chance of overturning. It is absolutely inexcusable for Kubiak to continue to make these kinds of mistakes. Why didn't have a quick-hit play called at the end to allow them another chance if the first call didn't work? The Texans managed to look as bad as the stupidest, most undisciplined team in the history of football. Worse, actually. |
Lot nf bad play, back to not over the hump yet.

That play that was challenged was a potential first down play. If not, we punt. The challenge HAD to be made. And it was a catch. You know it and I know it. Just inconclusive. Kubiak had a lot of problems today, and the playcalling was pretty weak. Tough to have a good playbook without the best wide receiver in football and your two backup RBs out, but still. This loss falls on Schaub, offensive line, and Jacoby Jones. Plain and simple. |

Also heard they suspect a torn pec for Mario which would mean ir. Casey may be the same injury.
