Damn, close but not close enough.

Close, it was the 36.

Commentator - "I have no idea who Sage was throwing to"

Unbelievable!

Texans get to midfield but Rosenfels throws the INT.

Colts run out the clock.

Final score:

Colts 33, Texans 27

It was DeMeco on a blitz. The Texans put on a huge blitz on the play.

TheMatrix31 11-16-2008 03:07 PM

You know things are real bad when you can absolutely predict how your team will manage to screw things up.

I can do it with the Braves and predicting double plays at crucial junctures, I can do it with the Suns blowing 9 point leads late in the third quarter to tie the game going into the fourth, and I can do it with the Texans, apparently now in the business of predicting game-ending interceptions.

:(

I went back and looked. It was DeMeco who busted through. Nice effort.

edit: Doh, just saw your post, Keith..

btw... continued thanks to Arky for providing the comms in the gameday threads.

The defense just got rolled through out the game. Anyone have a yards per play for the colts?

TexicanMexican 11-16-2008 04:39 PM

Found it in the box score. Colts had 80 plays for 5.9 yards per play. Texans had the ball for 45 plays and 7.9 yards per play. If I did my math right, factoring out Slaton's 71 yard TD puts the Texans at 5.5 yards per play.

popanot 11-16-2008 05:09 PM

The Colts had like 50 gazillion 1rst downs. I know that.

Edit: Just checked... The Colts had 30 1rst downs to our 16.

F'ING 30!!!!! Unbelievable!

How ridiculous is that?

It would seem this team is beginning to unravel. Are we looking for a high round draft pick? Maybe not, but we'll get one!
