A lot of fantasy players must have sat Schaub and Johnson this week....

Wow.

.....wow.

That was 2009/2010-esque.

Doesn't 527 passing yards match Warren Moon's Oilers record vs KC back in the early 90s? Moon's was not an OT game.

Wonder why Mularky went for it on 4th and 10, from our side of the field. Questionable call, IMO.

But, I'm sure glad he did it.

My guess, OT winding down, defense was tired, he thought offense gave him best chance to win at that time.

Tough game we almost fell into trap result.

Pretty good passing day, and we almost lost.
Had to look this up.

Schaub completed 43 of 55 passes and threw five touchdowns.

His total of 527 yards tied former Oilers quarterback Warren Moon as the second-best in NFL, behind only Norm Van Brocklin's 554 yards for the Los Angeles Rams in 1951.

So Houston has 2 of top 3 passing yardage days in NFL up to now.

And while on records,
Andre Johnson had 14 catches for a career-high 273 yards — the ninth most in NFL history.

Early line: Texans 3 pt favorite over the Lions on Thanksgiving....

Went to the game today and thought there was 3 or 4 times we'd win the game and 3 or 4 times we'd lose the game. Wow was that gruelling !
And my brother from Missouri came down for the game and reminded me after it was announced that Schaub tied Moons second all-time total for passing yards in a game @ 527 that he also saw that game in Arrowhead vs the Chiefs back in the nineties. What are the odds that somebody else in Reliant today could have made that claim ?

Moon even sat out at the end of the 4th quarter of his game. He choose not to reenter the game to go after the record.

But Moon's game was a blow out in Houston's favor from the start, and Schaub and AJ had to carry the Texans to victory today.

And Moon's steller performance was against an outstanding KC secondary led by the great Albert Lewis & Kevin Ross, named by the NFL Network as one of the ten greatest CB tandems in NFL history. But that performance, outside and on the road against that caliber of defense, was simply at a different level than Schaub's 5 quarter effort yesterday at home in the cozy closed-roof environs of Reliant Stadium.

Thanks. Now that Time Warner Cable finally has the NFL Network and my new job schedule has me missing most of the Sunday action, NFL Replay is one way I can catch up on some games. The Texans were pre-empted in Austin by the Cowboys so I saw the first hour before leaving for work. The tv's at work are rigged so they just get CNN, Headline News, Fox News and the Weather Channel - not even local stations.
