yay, another injury.
Objectives for the offseason? DEPTH and SECONDARY. |
Colts kick off. JJ returns it to about the 22.
Reeves (I believe) is down on the play. Correction: player down was Sapp. |
Our offense is good. Our defense isn't. The bad side needs a complete overhaul in the offseason.
|
Nice 2nd effort by Green gets 6 pts.
Colts 30, Texans 27. Nice drive, Texans. How 'bout a stop defense? |
Texans kick off. Colts driving....again...
Ball currently at the Texan 38. |
This defense is ATROCIOUS.
|
This is painful to watch. I know it's the Colts, but come on. They can't stop anything!
|
Big 3rd and 9 coming up for the Colts....
Will the defense stop them? ------- Colts appear short but Dungy challenges. |
I think we were hosed on that one, but I really don't think it mattered, as they would have went for it, and most likely got the first.
|
1st down Colts. Spot is overruled.
|
They clearly got the first. Good overturn on the terrible spot.
Would be nice if the timeouts weren't blown earlier in the half. |
Another 3rd down and 7 for the Colts.
2 minute warning. Texans out of timeouts. Could be ballgame on this play..... |
WOW, was that pressure?
|
The defense finally stops the Colts on 3rd down.
Colts elect to kick the 31 yard FG. FG is good. Colts 33, Texans 27 About 1:52 left in the game. Colts to kick off... |
Colts f'up and kick a FG. Can our offense come through? Can Sage redeem himself??

So, where exactly will the INT occur? I say around the Indianapolis 46-yard line.
|
AJ alligator-armed that one. He needs to come down with that!

Commentator - "I have no idea who Sage was throwing to" Unbelievable! |
Texans get to midfield but Rosenfels throws the INT.
Colts run out the clock. Final score: Colts 33, Texans 27 |

You know things are real bad when you can absolutely predict how your team will manage to screw things up.
I can do it with the Braves and predicting double plays at crucial junctures, I can do it with the Suns blowing 9 point leads late in the third quarter to tie the game going into the fourth, and I can do it with the Texans, apparently now in the business of predicting game-ending interceptions. :( |

edit: Doh, just saw your post, Keith.. |
Our defense is terrible.......I have no words......

btw... continued thanks to Arky for providing the comms in the gameday threads. |
The defense just got rolled through out the game. Anyone have a yards per play for the colts?
|
Found it in the box score. Colts had 80 plays for 5.9 yards per play. Texans had the ball for 45 plays and 7.9 yards per play. If I did my math right, factoring out Slaton's 71 yard TD puts the Texans at 5.5 yards per play.
|
The Colts had like 50 gazillion 1rst downs. I know that.
Edit: Just checked... The Colts had 30 1rst downs to our 16. F'ING 30!!!!! Unbelievable! |

It would seem this team is beginning to unravel. Are we looking for a high round draft pick? Maybe not, but we'll get one!
