DeMeco shaken up? Crap.

He should have caught the ball the first time and ran with it. He would have picked more yards than he did. If you're going to let it bounce down there, you might as well let it bounce and hope it goes into the endzone.

Anyway, regardless of that one play or anything he's done in this game so far, it still feels like something bad is going to happen when he gets the ball. I wish I felt differently about it, and I hope he proves me wrong - big time.

WMH 09-28-2008 01:06 PM

That damn slant is killing us.

Arky 09-28-2008 01:11 PM

Oh no. I don't think they can overturn it.....

Demeco is back in....

Jags kick FG.

Tied up 10-10.

popanot 09-28-2008 01:16 PM

Man I wish we could get some sort of pass rush. We seem to be the only team in the league that can't get any penetration at all.

Not a bad first half, I guess.

chuck 09-28-2008 01:16 PM

I don't know who's getting abused more, Reeves or Mario. Reeves is getting picked on play after play, and he's not doing much to discourage them. Mario's getting held, tackled, tripped, you name it. The next flag I see'll be the first.

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 01:16 PM

10-10, I'll take that going into the half.

Arky 09-28-2008 01:22 PM

Halftime:

Texans 10, Jags 10

Stats:

Schaub: 14/19 for 134 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT

Slaton: rush = 7 for 16 yds, rec. = 4 for 53 yds, 1 TD

Daniels: 4 for 39 yds.

Leading tacklers: Many with 2

Time of possession: Texans 18:21, Jags 11:39

chuck 09-28-2008 01:24 PM

The team that does not commit a turnover is the team that will win this game.

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 01:31 PM

A turnover of some sort is coming soon.

Arky 09-28-2008 01:36 PM

Jags take the 2nd half kickoff and march right down the field. TD pass to Matt Jones.

Jags 17, Texans 10

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 01:36 PM

**sigh**

Slant TD to Jones. Where's our defense that was in the first half?

popanot 09-28-2008 01:36 PM

WTF. No pass rush. No coverage. Poor tackling.

chuck 09-28-2008 01:39 PM

I think the TD pass was the first pass I've seen that wasn't to Reeves' side of the field.

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 01:46 PM

That's no PI.

What, the call on the pass to Andre? It was certainly PI, but I'm disappointed that Andre didn't make the play anyway.

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 01:49 PM

I dunno, guess I'm just not used to seeing that type of PI.

popanot 09-28-2008 01:50 PM

Schaub needs to start checking down to the RB. Slaton has been all alone out in the flank a couple times today.

Arky 09-28-2008 01:52 PM

Schaub to Walter 5 yds for the TD. A red zone score!

Texans 17, Jags 17

WMH 09-28-2008 01:53 PM

Schaub looks a lot less "Carrish" today.

Agreed.

We're looking more like the competitive team I've envisioned today.... (knock on wood).

Defense needs to get with the program....

bono 09-28-2008 01:57 PM

yeah now let's defend that quick slant

popanot 09-28-2008 02:02 PM

Here we go with the poor tackling again.

What does Zac Diles do to impress the coaches so mightily when it's evident that he cannot tackle? I've heard of effective CBs not being able to tackle (or not wanting to), but never a LB.

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 02:06 PM

It's ridiculous. They're carving us up. I thought Thanksgiving was two weeks ago against Pittsburgh?

Arky 09-28-2008 02:07 PM

Whew, Texans finally stop a drive.

Jags get the FG.

Jags 20, Texans 17

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 02:12 PM

HUGE catch by Walter on that 3rd and 3.

Arky 09-28-2008 02:15 PM

Chris Taylor down. Looked like a knee to me..

Big pass to OD - ball at the Jags 40..

popanot 09-28-2008 02:18 PM

Yea, a JJ sighting at WR. I'd like to see more of that.

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 02:19 PM

Big couple of plays there. Second and goal.

WMH 09-28-2008 02:19 PM

Is there any reason we can run that damn slant with AJ?

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 02:21 PM

WALTER TD! Woo!

Arky 09-28-2008 02:21 PM

OH YEAH BABY! 8 yd pass to KW..

Texans 24, Jags 20

Red zone - Schmed zone....

WMH 09-28-2008 02:21 PM

Holy Cowwwwwwww!!!!

chuck 09-28-2008 02:22 PM

Son of a bitch, that looked amazingly like a real NFL offense.

When I saw that Schaub could deliver the ball cleanly I knew that it would result in a score. I've never had that feeling of confidence before.

Reeves is going to need some help here.

popanot 09-28-2008 02:23 PM

Come on D. Step up!!!

God our Special Teams suck today!!

Arky 09-28-2008 02:23 PM

Let's go Defense!

TheMatrix31 09-28-2008 02:25 PM

Turnover would be incredible here.

WMH 09-28-2008 02:28 PM

Whew, what a break.

popanot 09-28-2008 02:31 PM

Fruuuuck!!! Make a frickin play!!!
