Rackers has the better, most recent track record but slipped a little in the playoffs.

I think Brown has the stronger leg but had a career low point last year. He went through something like this with Pittsburgh and it got him cut. He rebounded nicely with the Texans.... can he rebound again?

If they keep Brown, he will be under the microscope all year....

If they keep Rackers, he probably gets a little leeway. But if he starts messing up.... Houston fans are notoriously cranky about their kickers (and QB's for that matter. Thank goodness Schaub is "very good").

Regarding Brown vs. Rackers, a stat flashed late in Saturday's game showed Rackers was 0-for-0 last season in kicks over 50 yards so it might have been nice to know he could still hit them from 51 in a game-on-the-line situation.

Brown has hit any number of big kicks over 50 yards through the years so I'd really want to know how Rackers does in that situation. Personally, I see them as tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum but if Brown has better length, I'd be tempted to keep him.
