According to Houstontexans.com, he's been re-signed to a contract. Does anyone have any details? I sure would like to know how many years he signed for. The Chronicle still hasn't even mentioned the signing. Man, I hate the poor coverage!

I don't have confirmation yet, but I suspect Butler has simply signed his RFA tender. Once I find out more, I'll update this thread.

McClain mentioned it in the bottom of one of his articles yesterday. It's a 1 year deal IIRC

Also on Tuesday, the Texans re-signed offensive tackle Rashad Butler to a one-year contract and signed free-agent middle linebacker Buster Davis to a one-year deal.

Rotoworld is saying it is a one-year, $1.01 million contract, which would indicate that my suspicion was correct in that he simply signed his RFA tender.

Texans signed restricted free agent OT Rashad Butler to a one-year, $1.01 million contract.

The Texans value Butler's athleticism and believe he can grow into a viable "swing" tackle. He'll back up LT Duane Brown and RT Eric Winston this year.
