Kinda cool. Maybe Dale Strahm will finally look to draft kids from Texas instead of Virginia. :p


The Texans have invited 15 Houston-area players to their facility today to participate in drills that prepare them for the April 25-26 NFL draft.

Quarterback Chase Clement, tight end James Casey and receiver Jarett Dillard from Rice; tight end Mark Hafner and defensive end Phillip Hunt from Houston; quarterback Bobby Reid from Texas Southern; defensive end Melvin Bennett from Texas A&M and receiver Johnny Knox of Abilene Christian are among the players who’ll be there.

“This is the first time we’ve done this, and we’d like to watch it grow and do it every year,” coach Gary Kubiak said. ...

Meanwhile, in Connecticut there are stripper bars holding "Career Days" for laid-off ladies. In this economy, any job is better than no job.
