When are pro athletes going to learn that they are targets and shouldn't be out that late by them selves? I'm glad it was just a flesh wound though and wish him a speedy recovery.http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/6316071.html

From what we know now he was with a lady friend. So he gets home late from a road trip and goes to see a girl. I heard they were going to get something to eat. Sleeping at 4 O'clock in the morning is probably a good idea, but why do you imply that he was doing something wrong? Sounds to me like he made a booty call and got hungry. Someone decided to run him off the road and shoot him. There's always more to the story, but nothing to suggest that he was doing anything wrong other than being out late with a girl. No drugs. No alcohol. No rain making. I've had a gun pulled on me in broad daylight before so it's not like late at night the only time things like this happen. I don't know the details, but it sounds like it was fairly random....for now.
While nothing ever good comes from being out after 2:00am, I do not see that Carl was doing anything wrong. Sucks that you can be out and minding your own business and some scumbags try to jack you. I'm glad that he and his lady friend were not hurt any worse.

I never said he was doing anything wrong just that I believe that pro athletes should be smart enough to realize that they are targets. I believe that anyone should be able to be out at anytime just don't think it wise to out that late when you are clearly a target for low lives.
