QB
Shaub will be back with a better understanding of how to be a playoff caliber starting QB. After all the mistakes that have taken place this year on the part of the QB (for this team), no one can do it twice. I would hope not at least. Just in case I would like to see a crafty veteran able to come in and manage the game (Jeff Garcia, Gus Frerotte, Kerry Collins). Not saying we can get these guys but someone who can step in if need be and not lose it for us.

HB
Slaton will go into the weight room and pick up about 6-9 pounds. We will draft a bulldozer. How long can Baltimore hold on to 3 RB. What is La'Ron Mclain's financial situation?

WR
Alot of people say this position is set. I still think we could use another field stretcher if it is determined that ADavis' one season was a fluke. Just in case.

TE
Set. Maybe a big body in short yd situations

OLine
D.Brown will come back next season with the mental understanding of the NFL level and will be much improved.

DLine
The first step has been taken. Get rid of DC and his flunkies. This unit is full of potential energy. Now lets turn this unit into kinetic energy. They have always flashed greatness now lets get some consistency starting from the top.

LB
If we can get similar play out of ZDiles next season we will be a force with a speed rusher OLB on the opposite side.

DB
Saftey, Saftey, Safety. Oh yeah and JReeves is not a starting corner in this league. If he can learn to look for the ball he could be an excellent corner.

K
The only consistent position on our team since its inception.

GO TEXANS

P.S.
Great way to hand the bears that wonderful beat down. Too bad it wasnt for a playoff spot though.

I really hope that, in the case of Schaub, that Titans game was indicative of a huge step forward he has taken in his development since the beginning of the season. Against the Titans in week 2 and the Steelers in week 1, he looked bad while getting beat up and sacked a lot. Our O-line improved a good bit over the course of the season, but if you look at that last Titan game in week 15 you will still see Schaub getting sacked a lot and knocked around constantly. But the difference between the two games is that Schaub didn't let it get into his head in the 2nd game and didn't make costly mental mistakes that generated turnovers. Consequently the game was managed and we won the game. It was a huge deal to me that he dealt with that pressure, because even if our O-line continues to improve we are still going to run into buzz-saw defenses like Tennessee and Pittsburgh on a regular basis and those Ds will get to your QB one way or another. But if Matt can pick himself up off the ground and keep going like nothing happened, then this team will drastically reduce the turnovers next season and really be a contender.
