I like this one because I have come to the conclusion that the Texans biggest need is a fire eating big tackling center fielder type FS Like Michael Moore of Missouri.

I like this one ... the Texans biggest need is Michael Moore.

Would we then have a "liberal" Secondary? :p

They also have us taking SS Chung in the 2nd round! That would be quite a turn around wouldn't it?

Come on RP, taking my comments out of context? Shame on you. But yep, right now I think it is time to get that ball hawking FS in the first, or second round. Don't care if his name is Moore, Mays, or Chung!

Just for the record NBT, his name isn't Michael, Roger, Dudley, or Dinty. The guy you are looking for is William Moore. Just poking some fun.

Having a playmaker at the FS position would make me happy too. Personally, I'm wanting a guy like LaRon Landry more than Reggie Nelson, though.

The difficulty at this point is determining if Mays can translate to the next level like Landry did. If he's the next Greg Blue or Darnell Bing, then we might want to look elsewhere. If he's the next Thomas Davis, we might put him at the WILL.

I'll be watching him closely as we get closer to draft day. You can bet on that.

I agree. I've been asking for a safety far longer than anyone, and have trumpeted the value of a guy like polamalu, but I would much prefer we draft an Ed Reed type. There is a very fine line between Roy Williams and Polomalu. Many of the big hitting college Safeties are exposed in coverage in the NFL and have little impact as a result. I'd much prefer a center field type like Ed Reed who has a skill set known to work in the NFL. Than we just have to worry about drafting a good player, not about drafting a relevant one.

Let's hope our drafting dept is adept enough to tell the difference between a Landry & a Bing. I don't know if moore or Mays is going to be either - or, I am hoping they will be more like Landry.

You'er spot on with the memory remark RP, sometimes, being retired and all, I have a hard time knowing what day it is!
