A national audience finally gets to see what this team and ownership has put us through. This way it will be easier to press charges later.

Unfortunatlely, it probably won't help your case since all the ownership will have to do is show a replay of the lions game from this thanksgiving, or last thanksgiving, or . . .
Time to give the Jags the thrashing they so richly deserve....

Any word on whether Schaub's gonna play?
Any word on whether Schaub's gonna play?
Rosenfels will start.
He's (Schaub) ahead of schedule but I don't think he'll play unless Rosenfels get injured....

And one more thing. Who told the Texans that pressure on the QB works? I'm surprised the "experts" on the defensive staff finally listened to us.
Now, if somebody could tell Schaub and Rosie not to throw to the other team, well, we'd be in business.

Nice win but I felt the Texans had all the motivation here. The Jags have pretty much written off their season while the Texans still think their season goals may be within reach. Plus, they haven't been in a National TV game in a long time (if you don't count NFL Network as "national") and had that motivation.
It's always fun reminding the Gags that they are our designated bitch. However, I felt for 90% of the game that we were letting them hang around and that they might just steal it with a couple of quick touchdowns at the end.
Why was it that, with Mathis out for the second half, Kubiak didn't pound the ball to AJ? The Slaton runs were nice but we are going to really regret overworking the guy if we aren't careful. J-Ville had nobody who could stay with Johnson and we should have exploited that.
Nice to know that Mario is a prime time player. The guy seems to get up for night games.
I thought the ESPN crew did okay other than the whole Drew Rosenmouth interview at halftime. Kornhole said the Texans looked like ketchup bottles which shows you where his mind is. Although, I tend to agree that the all-battle-red unis are almost as ugly as the all-blue unis. Just stick to the white pants, okay?
And please fire the guy who put the end zone pylon in the wrong spot. I mean, jeez, way to make us all look like a bunch of rubes who don't even know where the end zone is. How could nobody notice this before kickoff? That's just inexcusable.

I'm almost certain that if we had an accurate throwin QB, AJ would've had a monster game.

I thought ESPN gave us a "fair & balanced" report on the game and the teams status in its 7th year.
I've never liked Kornhole on MNF, mainly because he dosen't know squat about football and more significantly I suspect he doesn't even like football.
I knew Howard Cosell and no matter how hard Kornheiser trys he's no HC, even though he does a pretty good job of being a really sarcastic, obnoxious Jewish guy from New York. And on that note, Kornheiser was his most sarcastic when he said the Texans looked like "bottles of ketchup", looked silly in their solid red unis. Problem is I gotta agree with Kornhole, I always thought they looked really silly to. But Kornheiser gave it up for the organization when he said that their decision to take Mario over VY & Bush
now looks really smart and admitted he and everyone else was wrong in their initial take of the Texans 2006 Draft.
And Jaws complimented many of the Texans players including Mario, AJ, and our rookie back. Plus he also said the crowd didn't act like the fans of a
4-7 team, so I gather they were loud and rambunctious in spite of their well known behavior of arriving late for the kickoff.

that was the 1st monday night game I've watched straight through this year and I was suprised by how much I enjoyed the announcers. Kornheiser says far less this year and it makes him far better. When his inane comments are occasional they are funny. Last year they were distracting. With the dynamic last night they might be my favorite NFL crew. Especially since we are so used to the CBS b-teams.
As for the game, like last week it was not an exceptional effort by our team, but when you play defense, you can look average and win. I think a big part of it is a healthy Demeco Ryans. The last 2 games he has looked like last year's Demeco, and miraculously we are playing defense. The team that gave up almost 30 a game had a banged up demeco playing on one wheel and not making any plays.
I can't wait to go back and watch the game on the DVR. Fireworks before kickoff and at the buzzer were cool. Like Bob mentioned we should wear the white pants. I think while we were ahead by more than one TD the entire game, Kubes called it safe. Sage looked shaky. Biggest moment of the night, when J'ville failed to convert the 4th and goal, that was a nice drive to eat up time and get out of trouble. The game was still in the balance at that time.
Not to be a homer, but I the draft class is looking better as these guys play. Duane is noticable by not being noticed which is great, Slaton does not need explanation, Adibi has been noticable. Molden very good on special teams, would like to see more of him in the base.

I watched it on DVR so I can replay alot of plays, and I was amazed at how quick and athletic Duane Brown is. He hooks about as well as any linemen I've seen which is the biggest key to run blocking for a tackle in the zone scheme. I think as his confidence grows we will see him become one of the best LTs around.

Look, the best part of the entire game was when Kornhole said McNair confronted him on his negativity. I gained an entirely different level of appreciation for the organization.
He basically called Kornhole and f@*#ing a__hole.
People can say what they want about McNair but IMO, he's got his head screwed on straight. He realizes football is just a game and as the owner, he gets to play in a game that only the super-rich can play. Kills me to see some people on messageboards try to portray him as a money-grubbing stooge. He could care less about the money: see his many philanthropic works. At heart, he's sportsman and wants to win...

Yes, it was an overall gream team win. And Mr. McNair is the best as an owner, he and we should have a winner coming pretty soon.
I rewatched it last night. I loved the shots from the blimp with the roof at Reliant open. I thought ESPN did a really good job with the telecast. Overall, I thought Tirico and Jaworski were pretty complimentary towards the city, they loved the stadium and they gave the team kudos on what is working, and spoke about the areas that need some shoring up.
I think having the national exposure and saying that indeed Mario was correct and by them eating some crow (they admitted they ripped the pick in 2006) that he is the best out of the first three picks gives us some national credability.
Kornheiser does not belong in the booth. He tries to be funny and really is not humerous and he adds absolutely nothing. He is the national hack version of Dickie Justice. I think Dickie tried to be like Kornhole light, and I pay no attention to either of them.
So where does this leave us? Another break even season? No playoffs and on the other side of the coin, no really good position in the Draft. While I am glad to see the more aggressive defense, I think we should have started off the season that way.

Took longer than usual to get the site's front page updated for this game... I'm just now getting over an infection trifecta - ears, sinus, and lungs. Been a fun three days around ITB.com HQ.
