Here is another one.
Round 1 pick #3 3. Houston Texans - Michael Oher (OT) Mississippi
Analysis: There's a chance the team would go Beanie Wells here, but considering the lack of time that Matt Schaub has had to throw the ball, fixing the offensive line makes the most sense here. They would have the opportunity to kick Eric Winston inside and develop a young, talented offensive line.
Round 2 Herman Johnson (OG) LSU
Round 3 Javon Ringer (RB) Michigan State
Round 4 Ramses Barden (WR) Cal Poly
Round 5 Chris Clemons (S) Clemson
Round 6 DeAndre Wright (CB) New Mexico
Round 7 Rashad Johnson (S) Alabama
I'd croak with this draft. I actually think we do need another RB, but I think we need help on defense more than on the offensive side of the ball.
I don't think we will end up with the third pick, we are heading on a winning streak.

I can understand taking Oher, and I can see moving Winston to OG, but then we turn around and take another OG in round 2? I don't see that.
Oher is BPA at 3, and he has all the attributes you look for, at least until I see him at the Senior Bowl. Having a stud like Oher and a solid player like Brown at OT this OL would have it's bookends. Winston and Pitts at OG could be solid.
Again I am looking at the Eagles to trade down with.
At 13 Taylor Mays (S) USC
At 28 Brian Orakpo (DE) Texas
Round 2 Marcus Freeman (OLB) Ohio State
Round 3 P.J. Hill (RB) Wisconsin
Round 4 Antoine Caldwell (OC) Alabama
Round 5 Todd Boeckman (QB) Ohio State
Round 6 Cary Harris (CB) USC
Round 7 Dan Gronkowski (TE) Maryland
Something like this would help us gain young defensive talent fast.

So you think Mays is better than William Moore of Missouri or
Nic Harris of Oklahoma?
Personally I wouldnt cry if we went OL early. Adding Oher to this line would definatly be an upgrade. Having a dominating OL would help the defense by controling the clock.

This one surprised me!
27. Denver Broncos - *Donald Brown (RB) Connecticut
Analysis: It's strange to look at the Broncos as a passing team, but that's what they've become with Cutler at the helm and (more importantly) Selvin Young and Andre Hall carrying the ball. Brown is an ideal fit for the Broncos one cut and go offense, he'll put up big numbers right away and give this offense more balance.
He is the sleeper player I have been talking about. I was hoping he would last until the 3rd or 4th round. Looks like he starting to get noticed.

I have Mays and Moore as #1 and 1A. I want to see them run, Mays is huge and seems to be strong in coverage also

Oher in the 1st would be a huge addition, I also like Dukes, just not at #3. [/quote]

I saw that and felt just like you. Of course I had Chris Johnson as a late 2nd early 3rd rounder around this time last year.
As they say, "I'm a'gin it"! Right now with the way our defense is underperforming, it would be a crime to go offense. We Need RDE and MLB/OLB plus insurance CB more than anything else in the world. I might........might consider offense after round 4!
RDE - Michael Johnson, Ga. tech, 6-7, 257
MLB - Dannel Elerbe, 6-7, 235 (put some weight on him)
CB - Ryan Palmer, UT, 5'9 1/4", 190

I think you mean. Dannell Ellerbe | Georgia Height: 6'1" Weight: 243 40: 4.61
BTW my take had us going defense with the 1st 3 picks.

Dont forget there is also Free Agency. There are some pretty good D players available. I want our front 7 on D and our OL stock piled with talent. Everything after round 4 can go for the rest.

I think we have to grab someone for the D'line to round it out in f/a. Waiting for someone to develop right now isn't really productive because we've spent so much there with so little in return. plus it gives one less thing to aim for in the draft.

Couldnt agree more. My top 2 FA targets are
1.) A Haynesworth
2.) Terrell Suggs
Haynesworth would do so much for this team IMO.

i think haynesworth is about to get a boatload of money dumped on him from several teams. but none of those teams can pair him with mario/amobi!! our defense would turn from feeble to disgusting in 1 play.
terrell suggs seems like the more likely venture, to me anyway.

Yea, that's who I meant. Should pay more attention to my spelling.
While Oher might be the "star" pick, there is nothing that wrong with the Oline now. It is not the best, but it is workable which means if it ain't broke don't fix it.
Haynesworth would be a "star" F/A signing for sure, and would hugely upgrade the Dline, but at what cost? Do we want another lazy overpriced F/A? He has been known to only be motivated when it suits him, not the team. Remember we still have Okam who hasn't even been tested yet! Let's keep a level head here.

I keep hearing this and its getting old. So he didnt come right into the NFL and make an imediate impact. Alot of players take a few years before they "get it". I think the guy has more than proved himself the last 2 years.
We are talking about the premeir DT in the nfl. You could make a case for him being the MVP of the NFL this year. There is not another single player in the NFL that would have the impact on this team that Haynesworth would have.
He brings everything to this defense that it lacks. Toughness, agressiveness, attitude, and he is a proven run stopper who commands DC to gameplan against him. He instantly makes our best players (Mario & Ryans) better just by being on the field. I would love Suggs and think he would be a great pickup but in no way would he have the impact that Haynseworth would have.

Signing Haynesworth is a pipe dream. Not to say signing a big name FA will never happen, but when has this team ever made a splash in FA? And does anyone really believe the Titans are going to let Haynesworth walk? Come on. If the Texans want to make a splash then look at the Panthers. They have both Gross and Peppers becoming FAs and can only F-Tag one so that means the other could potentially make it to the market. We could use either one, but signing him is another story and highly unlikey considering our history. What kind of irkes me is we had a shot at drafting all of these players - including Suggs.
between haynesworth, peppers and suggs this team should get it together enough to throw a boat full of money at one of them. i'm sure there are worse places to end up...
Knowing that the Titans are in a small revenue market, and knowing that Bud Adams is a penny pincher, it would not surprise me at all to see Haynesworth in another uniform next year. Probably not ours though.
I don't really think Bud Adams is running the day to day activities of the Titans anymore. They are doing way too well for Adams to have his imprint on them. No, I think his daughter and her husband are the secrect behind the recent success of the the tacks.

Did you notice they have anther 7 round mock up from 11/28
http://www.nfldraftblitz.com/mockdrafts.htm
rd 1 8. Houston Texans - **Knowshon Moreno (RB) Georgia
I agree we need another bigger RB but not sure first round is likely.
On FA , I don't know, Haynesworth will likely cost someone lots of money.
I just can't get that enthused about taking a CB anymore with our first round pick. A FS would be an altogether different thing however.
