A record 12 Baltimore Ravens were named to the Pro Bowl squad. Houston landed three, all on offense: QB Deshaun Watson, WR Deandre Hopkins and LT Laremy Tunsil.

I guess the Pro Bowl voters don't notice false starts. Last I looked, Tunsil was the third most penalized OL in the NFL, most of them false starts.

Assuming the Ravens make the Super Bowl, there ought to be 12 of them not playing in the Pro Bowl.

On a related note, these are the alternates from the Texans: Whitney Mercilus, Jon Weeks, Zach Cunningham, D.J. Reader, and Nick Martin.

I'm disappointed that DJ Reader wasn't selected outright. Other than Nuke, he's been the team's best player this year.

Cunningham leads the entire AFC in tackles and is #3 in the league for tackles so he is very deserving.
Making the team especially as a starter was a surprise for Tunsil but he's been grading high for his pass-pro so he's doing what he's paid to do in spite of his jitters pre snap.
Not a big boys Pro Bowl this year as once again it's in Orlando instead of
Honolulu.
