:(
I dunno, seems like they could use all the healthy WR's they can especially ones that know the system.... I'm guessing Strong's head wasn't always in the "game"...

He'll probably catch passes with the Patriots Sunday.

Everyone knows this but I'll say it anyway - they traded up to get this guy.

Strong was in O'Brien's doghouse from the start. Initially thought it was one of those things where a new coach wants to set an example early on, but three years later that isn't the case. Maybe Strong only held on this long because the team thought he'd gain some maturity as a pro over that time, who knows.
Strong is just another player with seemingly the right talent that doesn't fit whatever O'Brien wants. Akeem Hunt was cut recently (and signed later with the Chiefs) and falls into that category for me as well.
Side note... Strong's release coincides with the return of Will Fuller to practice, which seems pretty far ahead of schedule.
Yep, started in the doghouse (came to his first camp overweight) and just never got merged into the offense satisfactorily. I'm not sure OB knew how to utilize him to his best.... He did have some big moments that helped win a few games....
And yes, it would be just like Belichek to pick him up and Brady to turn him into a near Pro-Bowler... I do suspect someone will grab him....

I know I made the joke and I do think if he was a DE or any other position he'd be a lock to turn into a pro bowler in NE. But NE is probably even worse than us at developing young WRs. They have blown a crazy amount of picks on useless WRs who could not be reliable/smart/aware enough to gain Brady's trust.

I didn't take it as a joke at all.

Jags got him.....
Is he cursed or just dumb?
After the draft process stuck him with some of the worst QB play in the league, he gets freed to pick a better situation and instead finds maybe the only worse one out there.
