Report: Ben Jones leaving Texans for Titans http://wp.me/p14QSB-9ZYV
@LanceZierlein Jones did fine at center but was hardly irreplaceable. Five in this draft who have more talent, but need to add weight due to college game
@LanceZierlein And lest anyone get too worked up about losing Jones and B. Brooks, you might want to go check those Texans ypc the last 3 seasons. AVERAGE

Yeah, not too worried about losing Jones.

Yup, dead to me (except what we could get as a compensation pick).
Of course, if I'm Osweiler I have to be just a little puzzled. They want him to QB but they don't have a guard or center. Has a David Carr deja vu vibe. :confused:

And that also goes for the RB Lamar Miller who's wondering who he might have blocking for him in Houston if he comes here.
So besides at QB and at RB and a rapidly disappearing OLine (Brandon Brooks might be the next to leave), our offense is in pretty good shape.

Reasonable offer from Titans kinda shows you what the Texans really think about Ben Jones' upside:
@AaronWilson_NFL
Ben Jones Titans deal: $17.5 million, $3.5M signing bonus, $7.5M gted, salaries $1M (gted), $3.5M, $4.5M, $4.5M

We could bring Chris Meyers out of retirement and likely be better or about the same at Center. Jones was average at best. I don't think replacing him will be all that difficult or expensive.

Thank goodness he didn't re-sign here. Enjoy his many drops, Pats!!

I could understand why they would see value in a guy like Keshawn Martin but I have no idea what they see in Nate Washington. But BB and his friends have forgotten more about football than I'll ever know so maybe they have some secret plan to teach Washington how to catch a football.
