Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky, and don't get me wrong, I love the guy and NEVER want to see him go, but is anyone else kind of getting tired of JJ's antics this summer? It seems like every couple of weeks it's something new. Even the staged hockey goal thing was cheesy, although, not as cheesy or bad as this staged tackle.

I'm sort of wishing he'd just shut up and let his play on the field, charity work, (seemingly) great humility and boyish charm be the basis to his greatness. Not be a self promoter - 'ala Gronk and others.

I mean, part of me feels like he's being a bit of a hypocrite when he's telling Mettenberger to grow up and not post selfies on Twitter and then he goes around posting selfies on Twitter and doing things like these stupid staged antics. What's next? An appearance on WWF RAW?

Sorry, long off-season. :o

IIRC his calling out of Mettenberger was about the selfie on the Friday before a game when it was clear the kid did not have the playbook down.

Off season fun by players is OK, in season crap is not OK.

BTW I am getting tired of the staged crap from JJ also, that tackle on stage was definitely faked.

And his Arnold sounds more like the cookie monster.

Bring on some real football.

I just wonder if all the showboating interferes with his training and conditioning. I just wish Watt could donate a giveadamn transfusion to some of the others on defense.

I hope it's just you.

Nobody trains every waking hour. These guys all do something else. I don't care what the something else is as long as it doesn't interfere with football.

Won't be long, now. About 2 weeks (http://houston.cbslocal.com/2015/07/07/texans-release-training-camp-schedule/).....

...................The Houston Texans have two dates for their players to report. Rookies will report on July 26th and veterans report on July 30th.

The Texans also have a joint practice week scheduled with the Washington Redskins in Virginia August 6th-8th.

Their first game is August 15th against the San Francisco 49ers.

All Texans training camp practices are held at the Houston Methodist Training center across the street from NRG stadium.

The Texans normally announce open practices to fans before training camp starts.

First Hard Knocks episode on August 11.

Watt was in The Woodlands on Thursday to apparently film a new Ford commericial with a dog. Residents went bananas.

In unrelated news, the NFL Films recap of the Texans' 2014 season will air on NFL Network Saturday at 8pm CT. The official site has the video if you can't wait:

Saw the show tonight, correct me if I wrong, but did the Texans only have three players last year? Good show even though they hardly mention, if at all the use of 4 different QBs.
