Well I'm looking around the league to see who has been cut and who is not on practice squad rosters. The McGlover signing and Colvin cut lets me know that the front office is actually trying to do something with the roster to improve the team.

On the RB front, Alonzo Coleman was signed to the cowgirls' practice squad. Ciatrick Fason, Chad Simpson, and Steve Baylark were all released to find better futures.

FS Dowayne Davis was also cut by the girls and I haven't seen his name pop up anywhere as of yet. Another S that I've been wanting to see is Josh Gattis (cut by the Bears). I realize that we have Brandon, CC, Demps, and Barber, but I'm just thinking out loud here.

There are quite a few LBs that I wanted to draft who are now available...starting with Dontarious Thomas. The 49ers cut him so they could go after Ahmad Brooks from Cinci. Other lower-key names include Kyle Shotwell, Jordan Beck, Tim Shaw, Curtis Gatewood, and Andy Studdebaker.

My biggest problem is finding a RG in the left over pile.

I'm curious if any of you have your eyes on other teams' cuts.

p.s. the Bucs cut DT Dre Moore? are you freakin kidding me?

Wow, the Panthers seem to have some nice trash. I just noticed that they cut Evan Mathis.

Unfortunately Kubiak and Smith prefer to throw ridiculous amounts of cash at has-beens and gimps - especially at RB. It's sad when your best FA moves are Andre Davis (good move) and Jeff Zgonina (meh...).

I think Zgonina was brought in more for leadership qualities and setting an example for the young guys on the line. I suspect that they are wanting him to help Okam and Okoyoe specifically. Personally, I think it is smart to have 1 or 2 vets to work with the younger guys, so it really didnt bother me.

Another possibility: Eugene Wilson, who was a FS for the Patriots until this year. He signed with Tampa Bay to play CB and didn't make their cut. Would significantly improve the coverage ability of our safeties, but probably doesn't have the tackling ability the team is looking for.

Another possibility: Kynan Forney, who was a Pro Bowl-caliber linemen in the Falcons Gibbs-scheme in 2006, but had some injury and scheme troubles last year, missing a couple games and being considerably less effective in the power scheme. He's 29 (not old for a G) and didn't miss a start the previous three years.

Another possibility: Kynan ForneyNot no mo'...

As the NFL rosters churn in the wake of Saturday’s entry of 700 players onto the market, the Chargers have acquired two veteran players.

The team has announced the addition of tight end Kris Wilson and offensive lineman Kynan Forney.

Wilson was recently cut by the Eagles, with whom he signed as a free agent after breaking in with the Chiefs. Forney was released by the Falcons.

To create room for the two new players, the Bolts dumped fullback Andrew Pinnock and placed center Cory Withrow on the injured reserve list.
