I caught that on the Kubiak after practice comments. Again the press did not notice that "Steve" missed practice, they where to busy gathering their preassigned stories. I always know the chronicles stories by the questions Manfill asked Kubiak, she almost never lets him finish his take on the practice.

I dunno, but I'm thinking this can be a serious injury ?
I think Gary Walker (former DLineman in the Capers regime), battled it one
year all season ? Basically limited his performace the entire season ?

Well, this news sucks! Turf toe makes a super hero slow. Rest and trreatments in the training room from now until January.

Let's all relax until we hear more about this. Hopefully it is not the major issue that is being assumed.

Maybe it's more of a stubbed to than the horror stories of turf toe we've seen in the past.

A RB has to push off with his toes! Hope it is a minor sprain type of thing that a litle rest will cure, along with the trainers ministrations.

not that i have turf toe, or even totally understand what it is, but sometimes at basketball i push off too hard and i kind of feel a pop under the ball of my foot and that doesn't usually feel very awesome. it never lingers but it is the type of pain you stop doing whatever you are doing.

i hope slaton gets a hold of it early and it tails off before too long. if he can run against regular season defense like he has been this preseason i expect great things to happen to our offense which is already solid because of our passing game.

That's not it, but your foot should be looked at or maybe you have reached an age like I have that certain injuries are left alone and you no longer get to play as hard.

Turf toe is a more constant pain when walking, and more intense when you you run. I do not know how Walker played with it, it is not an easy injury to deal with.

Looks like rest is the best remedy for turf toe. Surgery can help out sometimes in recurring incidents.....

similar though, but i'm not old or anything haha...i just get hurt. same as rolling your ankle or falling too hard i just sit out for a game or two or a day or two and it's fine. actually it hasn't happened in a while but it would about every other month not to long ago....

arky's link sounds about like steve just needs an easy chair until week 3 probably. i think a lot of this season hinges on his shoulders and if he can perform like he has this preseason so i hope they take it slow and really let it heal so it won't come back.

Whatever, I hope Slaton is able to play with it. We are going to have to be very good (efficient) to have a chance of winning this first game. I'm feeling gloomy already. Hope I'm wrong!

Green was a full go in practice Monday and Slaton also practiced. Relax, they sky is not falling.

Ahman has practiced for two weeks. I don't think Smith and Kubiak are complete morons, if they thought Ahman was at all questionable they would not have released Walker.
