Sad times.

Pro Football Weekly, as we’ve all known it since the first issue rolled off the press in late August of 1967, is no more.

Pour some out.

Sad, but true. Those who lived by the old media and couldn't adapt to the new media are like dinosaurs roaming the earth awaiting their extinction.

I knew they were in trouble when I checked out their website on draft day and instead of their round-by-round commentary it looked like it hadn't been updated in a couple months. I'll miss their preseason magazine (the last one is on newsstands now) and especially their draft guides, as theirs are the only ones that I've continued to buy the last few years. No one could replace Buchsbaum but even after his death they put out solid draft books with detailed information and breakdowns.

If anybody is looking for a draft guide similar to PFW's, Nolan Narwocki has put out one that's virtually identical: http://www.amazon.com/Draft-2014-Preview-Nolan-Nawrocki/dp/1629370231/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1398381840&sr=1-1&keywords=2014+nfl+draft

Narwocki has had some controversial comments about Cam Newton and Geno Smith but overall I think he does a very good job.

Thank you for posting this. With Kipper not producing a Draft Guide this year I was in the market for a new one.
