Sounds like we are off to a promising start. I am not sure how strong the Saints O-Line is, but they have a lot of weapons.

Guess there was a little fighting at practice today involving the Texans defense and the Saints offense, G Jahri Evans was named.

Also said the Saints' DBs played better today. I guess the Texans WRs burned them pretty good on Wednesday.

Earl Cochran threw the first punch in the scuffle. Another tidbit from practice:

"It was too peaceful the first day, so things kind of picked up today," joked Houston cornerback Fred Bennett, who intercepted Drew Brees on a deep pass over the middle intended for tight end Billy Miller. ...

Bennett said he thought the Texans' defense held up well against Brees and New Orleans' potent offense, but wondered how that would translate in a game.

"It's real strange competing against them all weekend," Bennett said. "At the same time, I'm sure they're not showing us everything that they have, so it's going to be exciting."

Running back Reggie Bush had a long run after a short pass over the middle on Wednesday, but the Texans won't have to worry about him anymore. Bush was limited in practice Thursday because his left knee was sore, and while he said he hoped to play Saturday, Payton said he probably wouldn't.

Megan Manfull on playing time vs. New Orleans:

When Kubiak talked after practice, he gave a rough idea of how long certain players will be in during Saturday's game. Matt Schaub and the first-team offense will play about a quarter and a half. Chris Brown will run with that group, though they may pull him sooner than the other starters depending on how solid he's looking. His conditioning is somewhat of a concern. And of course they are simply worried about his durability. They would like to see him go at least one quarter though.

Sage Rosenfels will enter after Schaub leaves and play until the start of the fourth quarter when Alex Brink will enter. Shane Boyd will not likely play this week. The intention of Kubiak all along has been to alternate them the first two weeks to give each of them enough time to get comfortable.

As for the running backs, the rotation will change a little from a week ago. They will start with Brown, then go to Chris Taylor. Steve Slaton will be the third one in and Darius Walker will play with the final group.

Thanks for the heads up! I would have looked on my DirecTV guide but the navigation is painfully slow, haha.
