Busy day for our Rival Hags team....

Fired Del Rio this morning.
Announced that Weaver was selling the team shortly after that.

WOW.

I think they will regret that. Del Rio is a very good coach. He just didn't have much help in the personnel department.

Del Rio makes a good DC but he's not a great head coach.

Del rio was a bonehead. He declared mccown gave them the best chance to win and cut his starter. Then two weeks later he benches mccown after a 1-1 start. He's an emotion based coach who gets outschemed all the time. Think singletary with his pants up.

And on top of that he brought an axe into an NFL locker room and almost ended up with a one legged punter.

Agree with this. But then I remembered the numerous times he has pantsed Kubiak.

Fred Taylor piles on...

Del Rio "not a head coach" (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/12/01/fred-taylor-jack-del-rio-is-not-a-head-coach/)

“With Jack, you never knew what you were getting. You don’t know if you’ll get a hard-ass one day, a buddy-buddy one day. You never really knew,” Taylor said.

Taylor didn’t stop there. On Thursday, Taylor went on Pete Prisco’s radio show in Jacksonville. He called Del Rio “shady” and said he could call the Jaguars offensive plays from his living room.

Taylor said the difference between the Jaguars and Patriots offenses was like the difference between a Shell hotdog and Ruth’s Chris steaks.

Sherman hasn't even cleaned out his desk yet, and I'm already seeing tweets linking him to the Hags job.

Jacksonville has been a joke on offense while he's been there. It was criminal that he served up a rookie QB with absolutely no help or talent (not to mention gabbert was a terrible pick).

While I don't think Sherman is a particularly good HC in the NFL. However, he would bring a level of class and competency that the Hags haven't had in years. Not that I would like to see them have that in the division.
